Owen Biddle Photo School has been providing top quality photography instruction since 2011. Our mission is to share our love of picture taking. For many students this leads to gaining the critical skills to pursue photography for a wide range of purposes. A number of our students have gone on to professional work as photographers. Many have been accepted into photography shows and have won awards and placement in such prestigious magazines as Black and White Photography. Others have created beautiful photography books. For several photographers, connection with Owen Biddle Photo School has grown into a community of photographers who get together monthly to show their work, get feedback and talk photo tips at our Photo Salons. We keep our fees low because our goal is to sustain this support at a cost that is affordable to all.

Located in small town Lansdowne, PA, just outside of Philadelphia, parking is not an issue, and we are easily accessible by public transportation. With a carefully developed curriculum, the option of private lessons or small group classes (maximum seven students), a wide selection of photo field trips and stimulating monthly photo workshops, we are able to offer something to all photographers. Whether your goal is to get started with that fancy new camera, find support as you develop your skills and your eye, or even be stimulated to discover exciting new directions for your craft, we are here for you. Our personal approach to photography instruction, our love of the craft and art, and above all Owen's passion and delight in teaching will make the experience with Owen Biddle Photo School a powerfully positive one for anyone who loves to take pictures!

Owen Biddle grew up in a household where color, art and design were intrinsically important. Since 1983 he has been a photography instructor at a number of locations including Main Line Center for the Arts and Main Line School Night.
A critical part of my teaching model is assignments which build on each other and are carefully designed to provide students practice in whatever skill or concept is being taught. I am a big believer in "learning by doing!"
We provide logically organized, comprehensive instruction, covering many aspects of picture-making, bringing students from beginner to advanced.
