Last month was the Painting With Light Workshop and we're excited to share with you some of the results.  The photographers took on the challenge of capturing images in a dark environment. The light was produced by moving the beam of a flashlight over the subject.  This technique allows for amazing control of shadows, highlights and color.  Check out this sample of some stunningly original and beautiful images.  Thank you to Carol and Steve, who are both favorite members of our photo community!

Here's what Carol has to say:

"I received my first SLR camera in 2003 and took my first Photography class with Owen the following year. Owen has been a wonderful teacher and mentor to me for many years. He continually offers new and interesting classes and workshops which keep me motivated to continue learning. Photography has become a lifelong hobby for me."

And here's what Steve has to say:

"Mostly what I have been shooting since College (and that was a long time ago) was B & W until I was the first person I knew that started shooting digital. It was Owen that sold me that camera. And it's been him who has taught me what I know today. Thank you Owen for all you do."
